| So, if my parents thought that my college education was important and had sent me when I was supposed to go...I would have graduated yesterday. |
| |
| Yesterday, I drove past the Bridgewater house for the first time since we sold it. I looked down the driveway, the wrong car was parked in front.
I wish I hadn't looked. |

| Mike and I got WiiFit! We preordered it a while ago so we got it on Wednesday. For those of you who don't have it...get it. It's awesome. I've wanted to start working out for quite some time now, and this is a fun way to do it There's yoga, strength training, aerobics, and balance games...lots of fun.
We're also looking into buying a portable dishwasher! It's pretty sad that I'm so excited about it. We were concerned about water consumption...ya know, will a dishwasher use more water, therefore raising the water bill...but apparantly if you wash a dishwasher-sized load of dishes by hand you use approximately 17 gallons of water...with a dishwasher you only use 3-6. Sweet! God, I'm old if I'm talking about water consumption and my excitement over buying a dishwasher.
There still isn't anything exciting going on to update about. Chris and Kendra are in the very last steps of buying a house...which means goodbye to TikiBar 2.0, hello TikiBar 3.0! It's gonna be awesome, the whole basement is going to be the party zone haha. There's the bar room, which is gonna have pub tables and stools so everything is bar height, and then there's gonna be a family roomish area with couches and whatnot. And there's a bedroom so we can all crash It should be pretty awesome.
But yeah other than that, nothing too exciting going on. Just figured I'd update to let you all know I'm still alive. |

| Wow, haven't updated here in a long time. Nothing too exciting has been going on. I'm living a grownup life, and it isn't too glamorous. I don't like being grownup. But...I guess I'll have to deal with it.
So for those of you who don't know this, Mike works at the Apple Store. Famous people shop/get repairs done there fairly often, from what I hear. Mike saw Ron Livingston shortly after starting, and had missed Cameron Diaz by a few weeks. When he's in the back doing repairs, he's on AIM, and we chat throughout the day if I'm home. Just check this out:
Mike (1:25:13 PM): lol guess who's checking in his computer at the concierge table? Kaitlyn (1:25:30 PM): i have no idea. who? Mike (1:25:35 PM): stephen colbert. Kaitlyn (1:25:43 PM): shut up. Kaitlyn (1:25:48 PM): are you lying to me? Mike (1:25:53 PM): not eve a little. Kaitlyn (1:26:02 PM): holy shit!! Mike (1:26:16 PM): i know right? Kaitlyn (1:26:29 PM): so who gets to help him? Mike (1:26:52 PM): dunno when its getting booked for Mike (1:27:05 PM): i told jp i wanted it if it got put in as a standby Kaitlyn (1:27:22 PM): wow, i kinda hate you right now :P Mike (1:48:17 PM): i can die happy Kaitlyn (1:49:01 PM): did you meet/help him? Mike (1:49:12 PM): of course Mike (1:49:23 PM): tell you ALLLL about t when i leave for lunch in 10 Kaitlyn (1:49:46 PM): i'm SO jealous right now, i can't even begin to tell you.
He helped STEPHEN COLBERT. I'm insanely jealous, haha. They chatted for a few minutes, then Colbert thanked him for being so professional and shook his hand. I need a cool job where I get to meet famous people.
So let's see, what else is going on...unfortunately, nothing worth updating about. I'm so glad it's starting to get nicer out! Yesterday Mike and I went to a park nearby to have lunch. It was so nice
Other than that, my life consists of working, cleaning, washing dishes, cooking, and doing laundry. Thrilling, isn't it?!
I'll try to write in here more often if something fun comes up. |
